Huge Shopping Offense!

I was in the grocery store last night when it happened. I was in the cracker aisle...and there was only one other person in the aisle with me, a woman. I was picking out some new low-cal snacks (thx for the tip Toni Ryan...the 100 cal yogurt covered pretzels are great!), when I heard a pop....a familiar pop. I looked over and saw the woman sniffing a jar of jelly. Odd, right? Have you ever sniffed jelly in the grocery store before? Are you getting that the pop I heard was the freshness seal....which she has now broken? I thought to myself, "I hope she likes it because she just bought it!" But, no...she screwed the top back on, and put it back on the shelf. Wrong on so many levels! Once you pop that seal, it's gotta go in the fridge, or it'll go bad, for starters! Just wrong! She didn't even try to hide that she had done it...and obviously, she knew she wasn't alone in the aisle! I just don't get people sometime! LOL!

Friendly reminder...check that your freshness seals are intact!

Have u ever caught someone committing a big shopping offense?

What could you eat 62 of?

The big hotdog eating contest was held yesterday in Coney Island. Joey Chestnut was the winner again...chowing down on 62 hotdogs in 10 or so minutes! That's crazy! I had a total of 4 over the holiday weekend, and I'm ready for something else tonight for dinner!

Is there anything you like so much that you could eat 62 in a row of?

Do you even taste them after the first few? LOL!

Hmmm...maybe oreos, homemade meatballs, slices of pizza...I'm not sure if there is!

What could you eat 62 of?

Already?

Got a flyer in the mail yesterday for a Back to School sale...backpacks, lunchboxes, etc. Already? The kids only got out of school 2 weeks ago! Give 'em a break, would ya! Do you shop this early for school supplies? If you want the best selection, you probably do, right? I went to a kids clothing store yesterday to pick up a gift for a friend that just had a baby, and there are already fall & winter clothes out! It's hard to think about that when it's gonna be 85 today! When I bought a swimsuit last weekend, it was already on clearance...60% off! Let us enjoy summer! I haven't seen any Xmas stuff yet, but I'm sure that's not far behind! LOL!

What am I Going to Be Like When He Graduates from High School or College?

Brady gradauted from Preschool on Friday. They even wore little caps & gowns...so cute! When we walked in, all the moms were handed a pack of tissues, and boy did I need them! My little baby boy is growing up so fast, and the realization was hitting me hard! All the moms were crying too...how could they be going to Kindergarten already? They just started to walk & talk, didn't they? LOL! When the lights went down for the slideshow of their 3 years at the preschool, the moms weren't the only ones crying...there were even a few dads...not naming any names! ;) When they called his name to go up & get his diploma, they read a little summary of him: "When Brady goes to college he wants to study cooking (he loves to help John cook), he's going to marry his mom!" Awwww....I cried even harder! Etc, etc. He never wants to leave me...yay! Although, you moms of teenagers will probably tell me, I'll want him to leave when he gets older! LOL! After all the crying I had to go up and present the class gift...ugh! I was a mess! Thank God I wore waterproof mascara!

On to Kindergarten! Any bus followers out there? I swear I won't be!

"Is that the phone?"

Did you ever think you heard something, but you really didn't? Like hearing an ambulance siren on the radio, and you start to pull over to the side of the road because you think one is behind you or do you think you hear your cell vibrating, and it's totally not? LOL! Yesterday while I taking a shower, I heard the house phone ring...because I was in the shower, I just let it go. Then, it rang again, almost right after it had stopped...I still let it go. On the third time it rang...again, almost immediately after it had stopped the second time, I started to think something was wrong and someone was trying to get in touch with me, so I hopped out of the shower to answer it! Dripping wet, I ran to our bedroom to grab the phone. It wasn't ringing, and after looking at the caller id, I noticed there hadn't been a call for about 2 hours! What??? I just heard it ringing! I thought to myself that I must have been more tired than I thought, if I was hearing a phone ringing. I jumped back in the shower and it started to ring again!! Am I crazy? LOL! All of sudden I realized that it was one of Bailey's play phones for the bath. When you get it wet, it rings. It was in a bath toy bag that hangs in the shower. So, the water was splashing on it. Geez...I was thinking I was cracking up!!! ;) Funny, it sounds exactly like our house phone! Weird!

Is it a guy thing?

My husband is the worst at giving me messages when people call for me and I'm not home! I need to train my friends to call on my cell after they've talked to John at home! A couple of weeks ago, one of my besties was back home for Florida for only 2 days, and wanted to stop by. Do you think he told me? Nope! I totally missed seeing her...I was so bummed! When I asked if she called, he said, "Yeah, she called a couple of days ago!" A couple of days ago? What? If you forgot to give me the message that night, it never came back to you? LOL! His excuse is always the same thing, that when I'm not home, he's busy doing stuff...dinner, bath, bed, etc for the kids, and he forgets to tell me! I believe him, but then, write it down! Honestly, it used to bug me a lot more, now I've just trained myself to check the caller id when I come home, ask him if he talked to whoever is on there, and then it triggers his memory! It works.

Men! HAHA! Or, is it just my man?????

Huh?

Last night, while watching the season finale of "Sister Wives" I got a text from my friend, Jen. It said, "Can you pick me up some grape ice pops?" We don't live that far from each other, so it wouldn't be that crazy for me to do thatfor her if I was out, but a weird request at 9pm-ish, when she knows I'm home in my jammies, don't you think? So I texted back, "Huh?" Then, a long pause between texts. She texted back, "Oooppps! Wrong person! I hit you instead of Ryan (her hubby)." He husband was grocery shopping at the time! I cracked up!

Have you ever done that...texted the wrong person by accident?

Newman did once...he texted one of his female friends, "Let's do it" in response to his buddy wanting to play bball or something! LOL!
