So, I lost about an hour's sleep last night from 3am to 4am, and my alarm goes off at 4:30, so I wasn't happy! I think my ghost was at it again, and it kind of freaked me out! The backstory is the sweet old man, Pete, that we bought our house from died 2 days after John shook his hand and we agreed to buy his house. He didn't die in the house, but still, it was weird! Things have happened over the years, shades going up, etc. and we always joke and say, "There's Pete!" He's a friendly ghost! So, last night, something woke me up around 3am, and I was wide awake! Within a few minutes, I heard the Windows startup music from my computer! Random...and it was loud! I looked over at John, and he was totally asleep...he didn't hear a thing! Then, I tried to listen harder to see if I heard anyting else, and for a second I thought I heard someone typing, but then realized it the humidifier in our room...lol! I got up, my heart pounding, and went to the bathroom ( I pee constantly now that I'm pregnant!), which is right next to the office, I glanced in the office...nothing looked different, peed, checked on Brady, and went back to bed. I couldn't sleep though, trying to figure out why that happened...and for some reason, also started thinking about what I was going to serve for breakfast on Saturday morning...I'm having some friends over to plan our Girls Beach Weekend in March...haha!
So, who knows what it was!

hate to steal Pete's thunder here, but the Windows startup music thing has happened to me in the middle of the night too... bc I have my computer accept updates that require auto-restart. I can't tell you the number of times I have been scared crapless if I've been half asleep when that happens (computer is on a desk in my bedroom).

ReplyDeletei wake up every morning to your show and today i heard the story about the computer. i walked downstairs to eat breakfast and my sister asked me if i was on the computer at three in the morning because our mom fell asleep on the couch and heard the start up music. she thought it was one of us because right after that, the dog's gate fell down so she assumed we were running away so we didn't get in trouble. when i told my mom i had just heard you talk about it she was totally creeped out .. and so am ! lol
