Change the date of Halloween?

One of the members of the House of Representatives up in Connecticut has suggested that his state, and the entire country, celebrate Halloween on the last Saturday in October, instead of always on October 31st.

His explanation was: "Halloween is fun night for the whole family, but not so much when you have to race home from work, get the kids ready for trick or treating, welcome the neighborhood children, and then try to get everyone to bed for an early school and work morning."

Connecticut's Governor, Dannel Mallory, disagrees. His office issued a statement saying it would be too confusing for witches and ghouls who have traditionally celebrated Halloween on Oct. 31.

I think celebrating on the last Saturday in October is a great idea!!!! Great for families (I'm already dreading this "Monday" thing, and if you're headed out for a Halloween party, who wants to get crazy on a Monday night? It's going to make for a long week!

What do you think????????????????

Who would you hate to run into when you're not wearing any makeup?

I ran out to the store yesterday morning to exchange the Phillies shirt Brady got for his bday, for a bigger size. I have to be an escape artist these days when not bringing Bailey with me, 'cause she's a little clingy to Mommy right now! She was busy playing with John, so I had a chance to dash, and didn't have the time to put makeup on, which of course means I was going to run into someone that I would prefer not see me without make up! Yup, of course it happened! LOL! It was my ex bf's bff, who will no doubt tell his buddy, my ex, that he ran into me. UGH! It those run-ins when you want to look your best, so he can say, "She looked great!" Believe me, it's not arrogance, more insecurity. I thought at first I would just slip by him, but I thought that he saw me first, and I wanted to say to him, he's a great guy, who I hadn't seen in awhile! So, we stopped and talked, and I said how embarrassed I was that I had no makeup on, and he didn't even flinch and moved on. I wonder what he told him?

Ever happen to you? Who have you dreaded bumping into when you're out in your sweats without make up on?

Where should I go for Girls Weekend?

My hubby's all excited because he & 3 buddies are going to Michigan Thanksgiving weekend for the Michigan vs. Ohio State football game! Guys weekend...woo hoo! I'm cool with it, actually excited for him...should be a great time...as long as he stays away from all the college girls out there! LOL! So, you know what guys weekend means, right? That I get to plan a girls weekend away! It's only fair! :)

Almost like it was meant to be, I got an email from one of my college girlfriends saying she needed a girls weekend! Cool! Then, another friend chimed in saying we should go somewhere warm. Who knows...I need some ideas!

Any suggestions for a fun girls weekend? Remember it's probably only for the weekend.

Thx!

He's starting Kindergarten already?

Yup! When I tell people that my son, Brady, is starting Kindergarten next week, that's the reaction. Already...he can't be 5 already? It doesn't seem possible...time really does fly! A long time PST listener commented on facebook today that she remembered when I announced my pregnancy on the air! Seems like yesterday! But, his last day of preschool/camp was today, and I was fighting back tears as I picked him up for the last time. He doesn't even seem phased! He's excited for Kindergarten...he got a new Star Wars backpack, Superhero lunchbox, new Sketchers that light up...he's ready! Am I? That's the question...lol! I talked to a lot of parents, and it seems that starting Kindergarten is harder on the parents than the kids! I swear to you, I will not follow the bus on Tues! Did you? Tell me your first day of Kindergarten stories!
