So, I put this adorable little outfit on Bailey the other day...white onesie w/pink & green flowers w/pink pants, and a little flower on her butt. I called John into the room, and showed him the little flower on her butt, 'cause it was so cute, and his reaction was, "No stuff on her butt...don't start that! I don't want her to be the girl with the stuff on her butt...very protective already! I get the whole thing about the girl who has "juicy" written on her butt later in life, but c'mon...she's baby...now, it's just cute, right? Maybe I shouldn't have bought the outfit!

It may be a fad and it may be cute, but then you read articles like this: http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local-beat/Tony-the-Staten-Island-Man-Travels-to-Philly-for-Sex-With-Mom-Baby-Police-60837347.html and wonder if a few cute outfits outweigh the danger of kidnapping/abuse.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter just turned one - and I'm all about "stuff on the butt". I especially adore ruffles on butts. Nothing cuter when a baby is crawling! They're not as in fashion as when I was a baby, but I was un-deterred. I searched high and low and now my daughter has a collection of tights - with butt ruffles. Score!
