I couldn't do it!

I've had a real tree for Xmas my whole life...John's always had an artificial...can you see where this is going? He's humored me for almost 12 years now and gone to a tree farm and chopped down a tree for me...for us! Secretly, I think he enjoys it, especially since we had Brady...it's a fun, family thing to do! The past couple of years though, he's been getting aggravated for some reason...either I'm taking too long to pick, we don't agree on one, there are no good ones in his opinion, they're too big or they're too small...etc, etc...and it always ends with me reminding him that it's supposed to be a festive thing to do! HAHA! Well, I knew the day would come...and it came a few weeks ago...he asked if we could consider trying out a fake tree...ugh...I felt my stomach sink! But, I agreed to look around and if we could find one that truly looked real, than we could get it & try it for at least this year...he's also convinced himself that we're all allergic to live trees! I actually did find one that I could live with...and we almost bought it, but after measuring it, it wasn't going to fit in our living room! Darn...wink, wink! He agreed that there weren't anymore that looked real in the stores...I think we started looking too late! So, we're headed to the tree farm tomorrow! Yippee! Next year, I'm sure we'll have the same conversation! Ahhh!
