I think there's a name for this...when you think you hear something, but you really don't...like your cell phone ringing or something like that! It happened to me at least 3 times over the weekend...and it was the same thing each time! I kept thinking I was hearing Bailey cry, and she wasn't...she was sleeping soundly! I was in the kitchen putting dishes away one of the times, and I raced into the living room, where the monitor is, 'cause I swore she woke up from her nap way too early, and nope, not a sound! I'm telling you, I heard a baby crying! Another time, I had John hit the mute button on the remote 'cause I thought I heard her again...nope...weird! Maybe my house is just haunted! HAHA!
Has this ever happened to you...where you swear you've heard something, and you haven't?

ReplyDeleteIt happened to me last night also. I have two girls 5 and 7 years old. I woke up out of a sound sleep because I heard someone say Mom. I checked on both of them and they were sound asleep. It kind of creeped me out. My husband works nights so there was no one else there. Maybe the spirits of children were being mischevious.
I thought I heard my son call out for me in the middle of the night a few times and I sat up to listen again....and NOTHING, yet it woke me up out of a sound sleep this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis happens to me ALL the time, I have a 3 year old daughter and 8 month old son. I think it always happens when I have water running, like when I am in the shower or doing dishes, I always think I hear one of my kids crying but they are always asleep!! Maybe it's just a Mommy thing??!!

Used to hear a baby crying in my house...had 3 kids at the time no baby...after my 4th was born, never heard it again(someone telling me to go for one more)!
