A Milestone!

Yesterday was John & my 12-year date-iversary...the anniversary of our first date! Do you know yours? Back on January 31st, 1998 the magic began...hehehe! We had tix to a concert in NYC...he showed up late because he got out of work late...we missed our train, had to drive into the city...ugh...but, had a great time! After we got back, we were watching some tv...SNL...if I remember correctly, and I totally fell asleep...whoops! HAHA! I don't think date-iversaries are gift-giving occasions, but really do think they need to be recognized! It's fun to take a walk down memory lane, when you had butterflies in your stomach before seeing him! Kinda brings you back...ahhh, the memories! It's refreshing to feel "beginning of relationship" giddiness again! I reminded him of the date yesterday morning, in the kitchen, as he was mixing baby cereal Bailey, I was making Brady chocolate chip pancakes, the laundry was piled in the corner, waiting for me to start it, the grocery list was printing...you get the point...life's a little more complicated now than back them! I gave him a kiss and told him that after 12 years, I really do still like him!!! He laughed. I really do mean it....I've never been with someone this long...new territory for both of us! It must be right, 'cause I love him even more than I did all those years ago!
