Holiday Cookie Recipe Swap!

I'm going to a Holiday Cookie Exchange at my neighbor's house and need cookie recipes so I can decide what I'm going to make!

Let the swapping begin!

My mom just gave me this recipe after she made them for one of our family Christmas gatherings...YUM!

Cream Cheese Cookies

1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 egg yolk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 package (18.5 oz) yellow or devils food cake mix

Cream the butter and cheese. Blend in egg yolk and vanilla. Add cake mix (dry), 1/3 at a time, mixing well after each addition. If you use a mixer, add the last third of cake mix by hand. Cover & chill for 30 minutes.

Heat oven to 375. Drop by level teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool slightly before taking them off of cookie sheet. *I put red sprinkles on top to make them festive looking!

Enjoy!

  1. OK, don't know if these count cause they don't have to be baked or anything...but get chocolate melting wafers...melt down wafers to liquid...take 2 ritz crackers, but peanut butter between them, then dip the sandwich into the chocolate. Place on wax paper until the chocolate hardens. HEAVEN!!!!
