Change the date of Halloween?

One of the members of the House of Representatives up in Connecticut has suggested that his state, and the entire country, celebrate Halloween on the last Saturday in October, instead of always on October 31st.

His explanation was: "Halloween is fun night for the whole family, but not so much when you have to race home from work, get the kids ready for trick or treating, welcome the neighborhood children, and then try to get everyone to bed for an early school and work morning."

Connecticut's Governor, Dannel Mallory, disagrees. His office issued a statement saying it would be too confusing for witches and ghouls who have traditionally celebrated Halloween on Oct. 31.

I think celebrating on the last Saturday in October is a great idea!!!! Great for families (I'm already dreading this "Monday" thing, and if you're headed out for a Halloween party, who wants to get crazy on a Monday night? It's going to make for a long week!

What do you think????????????????
