OMG!!! What did they hear?

So, I had a blonde moment last night! I went outside with Brady yesterday afternoon, so he could play w/the neighborhood kids and ride his scooter, etc. Bailey was napping, so I grabbed the monitor, and brought it out to the front porch, so I could listen for her. I quickly noticed that it wasn't charged, and needed to be plugged in. I remembered that there is an electrical outlet on the side of the house that we plug our Xmas lights into, so I plugged the monitor in and stuck it on top of the electrical panel or whatever it is out there, pointed it towards the porch, so I could still hear if Bailey woke up...problem solved. I was kinda proud of myself for thinking of the solution. John's usually the "practical solution" one in our house! So, had a great afternoon outside...starting to get a nice tan...chatting with the other moms, reading gossip mags...usual stuff for our neighborhood! It wasn't until around 8:15ish that night, after the pouring rain, that I finally sat down on the couch with my laptop. Usually, the monitor is right next to me on the table. I instantly realized that I couldn't hear Bailey's music that we play for her when she's going to sleep. Thinking that the monitor's volume is just to low, I reach over, and it's not there. Hmmm...all of a sudden it hits me, it's still outside! UGH!!! It had been raining for hours! My perfect plan was ruined, so I thought. I didn't want John to know, 'cause I'd never live it down, so I snuck outside to get it...he was down in the mancave. When I got out there, I started thinking, "Should I really be touching this? Am I going to get electrocuted?" I took my chances, and yanked it out of the socket...it was fine! I couldn't believe it...I thought for sure it would be fried! I actually heard Bailey's music outside! I was so happy, until I realized that everything that went on in our house...upstairs...near Bailey's room & the bathroom...for the past couple of hours, had been broadcast to all of our neighbors! YIKES! What did we say? OMG...panic! I got email from a few neighbors later in the night which didn't mention anything, so I guess no one heard anything...or so I think! HAHA!

How embarrassing!
