Uh-oh!
That's the word my 10-month-old daughter, Bailey, has said over & over & over again since Saturday morning! My mother-in-law taught her to say it while I was working on Saturday and John was with Brady at swim lessons (he actually got in the pool this time...yippee!). It's so cute! I think she actually knows the meaning of it too! I was rolling this little ball to her and when it rolled away she said, "Uh-oh!" I've got to get it on dvd! Here's what kills me...she was watching her for maybe 2 hours that day, and she has it mastered, "Uh-oh!" I've been trying to get her to say, "MaMa" for months...no luck...she may have said it once or twice, and I really think it was by accident! HAHA! I'm determined though...check back in a week or so...her next lesson will be at 1pm sharp today, when I pick her up from the sitter! :)

Too funny! I guess they just decide what they want to pick up on to say. Maybe your mother-in-law made her laugh when saying "uh-oh" and that's why it stuck.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter just turned 9 months old and she just started saying "da-da" and "ba-ba" (although they sound almost exactly the same)-she has no clue who "Da-Da" is and I think it will be a long time before she says and understands "Ma-Ma," lol. Your daughter sounds more advanced with her vocabulary and you are probably right, she will be saying "Mama" very soon! :)
