Digital License Plates?

You may have heard us talking this morning about how the state of California is considering switching its license plates from the metal ones that we have now to digital ones! Wow! When you're driving, it would show your license plate number, but when you're stopped for more than 4 seconds in traffic or at a red light it would start to flash ads...like commercials...LOL. Kind of cool. They would also display Amber Alerts, etc.

What do you think?

I would want to pick which ads are on my plates...clothes, shoes...you know, fun stuff...not bengay or anything like that! HAHA!

  1. I think they would be distracting. Even if they only flash when you're stopped, they'd flash in traffic. And I definitely think they would cause accidents. BAD idea.

  2. I think I don't want an ad on my car. I peel the dealership sticker off, take their license plate bracket off, etc. If they want to run an ad on my car, I would have to approve it. I can see Bud or Coors running ads on the plates - talk about mixed messages.

We have to see ads on the side of the road, listen to them on the radio, and see them stuck onto the bumper of a car. I don't want them lighting up in my face.
