Did Bailey see a ghost?

Forgot to post this on Fri...kinda freaky! I was putting my 1-year-old daughter, Bailey to bed on Thurs night when the weirdest thing happened! We were going through our routine, bath, read books, bottle while we're rocking in the rocking chair...when all of a sudden she stopped, took the bottle out of her mouth, looked up to the corner of the room, waved and said, "Hi!" She had a huge smile on her face too! I slowly looked over, and of course, nothing or no one was was there. Dodododo...that's my scary sound...LOL! Although, I wasn't freaked out, because she was very happy...not scared at all! She waved and repeated herself a few times, and then went back to her bottle! Yikes!

Ever happen to any of you?

You know, babies and animals are supposed to be more prone to see ghosts than anyone else!

Freaky, huh?

  1. My son is 2 1/2 and since he was born I swear he sees someone. He's had conversations, did the waving hi thing and just sits there and stares as well. They say children and animals see things that we don't cause they are so innocent. I believe Bailey saw something. There were times when Stephen wouldn't go to bed and I'd be like ok whoever is here please make him sleep. lol

  2. Yes this did happen to me when my daughter was one as well. (she's 2 now) We were lying in bed and she started waving at the ceiling and saying Hi. I was so freaked! I knew it was nothing bad, but I told her to tell them good bye LOL

  3. I don't think my daughter (also one) has ever acted like that, but my cat definitely does! It's kind of freaky because she will suddenly get up and go look at something that nobody else sees.

It reminds me of that part in The Lovely Bones where a woman says to Susie, when she's talking about whether or not her brother can really see her, something like "where do you think imaginary friends come from?" I've never thought of that before, but now I think that it could be a possibility! Still kind of scary, though.
