He didn't even realize he was baby-talking to me!

Too funny...last night around 10:15 my hubby told me he was going upstairs to take a shower, like he does every night, before going to bed. Realizing how late it was, I went upstairs too to get ready for bed. He started the shower, came into our bedroom, got undressed, and stood there, naked, looking at me. What? Oh God, he didn't want to...you know...it was way past my bed time! No, he said, "I'm waiting for you to go potty." Oh...that was actually nice...he knows I pee every night before going to bed, and he wanted to give me the chance to go before he occupied the bathroom for the next half hour. Although, I've gone when he's in the shower, but I guess he figured he'd give me some privacy! So, I went in the bathroom, and thought to myself...did he say I could go "potty???" Yes, he did! LOL! We're so used to talking that way for the kids, that he didn't even realize he said it to me!

Ever forget to come out of child mode with your honey?

  1. Definitely, but it's been the other way around - I said it to him: "Hang on, I've gotta go peeps." (that's what we call it in our household.) I think it makes it easier than having to worry about switching modes.
