Superhero Bday Party Ideas?

My son, Brady, is turning 5 in Sept...I can't believe it! I've decided to have a kid party for him for the 1st time...it's been family parties up until this point. He's got a great bunch of friends at preschool, so I thought it was about time! We're going to have it at home ( I don't want to set the bar too high for his 1st one! LOL!) and it's a Superhero theme.

Any suggestions? Ideas? Tips for a mom who's never had a kid bday party at her house before?

All are welcome!

  1. play superman games. do like a tag game in the yard and have your son be superman and one kid be it (the villain). if you are tagged by the villain you must freeze. if you are tagged by superman you unfreeze. once superman is tagged the game will end soon. wait for the last kid standing and give them a lollipop or something. give silly bandz in the goodie bag things. play music in the background and if you cant think of anything to do, tell them to dance.

  2. tori spelling and dean had a superhero party for one of their kids. i'm sure if you were to google it you may be able to find it. i'd say buy a pack of cheapo masks for all the kids that come. and maybe make a cape for brady to wear that says birthday boy or something

  3. I have one of those bouncies that is about 6 foot wide and has side walls in a circle...4 my daughter's birthday, she just turned 5, & they all had thhe greatest time....with her friends in it...you might want to rent one a bit bigger depending on the number of guests...it will be a hit! They didn't tire of it the entire time and wanted to come over the next day too...I let them...
