Which is worst?
This morning, Dave brought up whether or not you should throw away pictures of ex boyfriends, girlfriends, etc. I really don't think you have to...they're memories! When you get older, aren't you going to want some memories of your life? It's different if you have awful memories of that person, then please, go ahead and burn every pic you have! LOL! I have" ex-boxes"....anybody else? Each ex-bf has a shoebox of memories...I haven't looked at them in years, but they're fun to leaf back throughonce and a while, read the silly, sappy love letters, and remember! Wendy didn't agree with me, but is still wearing jewelry from her ex and doesn't think there's anything wrong with that! A love gift from someone that she still wears, who isn't her love anymore! I'm just talking about reminiscing by looking at old pics & letters. She has a constant reminder of that person everyday! Although, she says it isn't!
Hmmm...which is worse? Old pics & letters that you look through once every 10 years or wearing jewelry that an ex gave you everyday?

I think the jewelry is worse, but both can be bad, depending on who you are currently dating. I always had 2 big storage bins of stuff from my first boyfriend because he was my first love, we were together for five years and I couldn't part with anything. Well, my fiance didn't like the storage bins and made me get rid of them. I did keep the old notes and cards but everything else, I threw out. He also made me go through all of my photo albums (there are a ton) and take out any pictures of ex-boyfriends. No one had ever asked me to do that before, but I realized where he was coming from-I certainly wouldn't want him to hold onto pictures of ex-girlfriends.
ReplyDeleteI've never worn jewelry from ex-boyfriends, although I do still have everything in a box somewhere. Maybe it's okay to wear it as long as you're not in a relationship, but once you are, I think it's time to put the jewelry away.
